BIG WIN FOR PRIMATES!
Madison, Wisconsin-- November 27, 2006, a Wisconsin court ruled
the contract between Primate Freedom Project and Roger Charly was
valid. Primate Freedom Project had entered into a contract to purchase
a small parcel of land and buildings situated between two University
of Wisconsin primate laboratories. Because the University knew the
public would object to the cruelty inside the labs, the University
approached Roger Charly and offered him one million dollars for
the property. Charly accepted and tried to cancel the sale to PFP
but a Wisconsin judge ruled the contract is valid.
